Newly Designed Public Web Site Launches

New public tools and resources focus on guidance and support…
More than ever, it is important for your patients to understand their health insurance. Our Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas Web site redesign focuses on providing this guidance and support.

In addition to secure access to customized information in Blue Access® for Members, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas members will also have access to new publicly available tools and resources to help them navigate the world of health insurance. These are some of the new features and enhancements in our redesigned public Web site:
 

  • Searching for a doctor is easier. The Find a Doctor section is more prominently located in the center of the bcbstx.com home page.
  • The Health and Wellness section provides informative articles on preventive care, exercise, diet, behavioral health, coping with illnesses, and more.
  • The Glossary provides definitions of health insurance words and phrases.
  • New straightforward content makes health insurance terms easier to understand.


Early test results from members and health care consumers were overwhelmingly positive. More than 90 percent of those who participated in testing completed their tasks easily and with confidence. Most were comfortable with the new site architecture, and their feedback revealed that the information was trusted and helpful for making a health insurance decision.
